An intentional, well-thought-out strategy can take anywhere from 3-6 months, depending on the initiatives and goals of your company, as well as the current phases of marketing, operations, sales and infrastructure. It can feel daunting and invigorating, to figure out your “why” for each milestone of your business.
We have been on this roller coaster many times and I totally get it.
If you’re in this place, know you are not alone.
Here are a few things you might do to refocus and stay motivated to take on the process:
- Get really clear about what you want. Who are you trying to reach? What are you trying to accomplish? What problem are you solving for them? What has worked well in your business to date? What are your deal breakers? Know the answers to these questions really well and don’t settle.
- Focus on the end goal. Putting in the work will create the reward. “Dream companies” and “dream lives” are not made overnight. They are created from many intentional actions being taken over time. Most people don’t fall into their dream…they create it.
- Spend more time on things that are working. Every action you make in your business should have benchmarks, goals and aspirations. What success looks like in your company, will be different from your childhood friend, colleague or competitor. Once you get clarity, focus on your next steps, and stay in your lane through each milestone.
- Spend more time building intentional relationships. Relationships are at the heart of your company. With your clients, customers and staff.
Every action you make in your business should have benchmarks, goals and aspirations.
